Yesterday I went with Dart to look at a new scooter store that has opened on Clarendon Street in South Melbourne.  They have a range of scooters that I have not seen before. They stock Vmoto, Peugot, TGB and some others that I can’t remember.  I was mostly interested in the Peugots, but they only had the Jetforce 125cc which is a great looking bike, but is more motorcycle style with a larger heavier frame.  So I took the Vmoto Monaco 125cc for a test run around the block.  I rode surprisingly well for someone who has not ridden in almost a year.
I’ve started shopping now because in 2 weeks we go for our motorbike licence test. I’ve had a learner’s permit for the past year.  But I am disappointed that there are not many reviews of scooters around yet.  The Vmoto was very zipper and took off like a rocket…  but I’ve really heard nothing about them before.Â
Holding up the purchase now is somewhere to store the bike.  There is no where to keep it safely outside the loft. So I’ll be talking to some of the nearby garages later this week to see if they will let me keep the bike inside.    I can’t wait to have my own scooter!
